Overhead Conductors & Aerial Bundled Cables

From the substation to the last house. CASK Cables supplies the bare conductors and aerial bundled cables that carry power across transmission, distribution and low-voltage networks, made to European and international standards and tested lot by lot.

The conductor decides how a line performs

A power line has to carry its current safely for decades while it hangs in the wind, the ice, the salt air or the desert heat. The right conductor keeps losses low, sag under control and maintenance to a minimum. We help utilities, EPC contractors and distribution companies choose it for each line, and supply it in drum lengths planned around the line sections so there are as few joints as possible.

CASK Cables is the cable division of CASK Electric, based in Dilovası, Kocaeli. Together with CASK Steel poles and CASK Power Systems transformers, we can supply the main materials of a line from one partner.

Stranded aluminium overhead conductor

Four conductor families

ACSR

Aluminium wires around a galvanised steel core: the steel carries the load, the aluminium carries the current. The standard choice for high and medium voltage lines with long spans and heavy wind or ice.

AAC

All-aluminium conductor with the best conductivity for its weight and excellent corrosion resistance, for substations, busbars, short spans and coastal lines.

AAAC

Aluminium alloy conductor, about twice as strong as AAC with no steel core to rust: lower sag, fewer poles, ideal for coastal, desert and industrial areas.

Aerial bundled cables (ABC)

Insulated cores twisted around an insulated messenger for low-voltage networks along streets: no bare wires, fewer faults from trees and wind, and less electricity theft.

Why you can trust our conductors

International standards

Made to EN 50182, DIN and IEC 61089, with British and American standards available on request, so they fit utility specifications in many countries.

Tested lot by lot

Tensile, resistance and dimension tests on every lot, with test reports delivered for the project file.

Quality materials

High-purity EC-grade aluminium, galvanised high-strength steel and heat-treated aluminium alloy, with greased cores for coastal and desert sites on request.

Planned for your line

Drum lengths matched to your line sections, labelled drums, steel drums and export packing for long-distance transport.

Engineering advice

Our engineers help you choose between ACSR, AAC, AAAC and ABC for each line, based on span, load, corrosion and current.

One partner for the line

Conductors, steel poles, clamps and fittings, and pole-mounted transformers from the CASK Electric divisions.

Where our conductors are used

Frequently asked questions

ACSR, AAC or AAAC: which should I choose?

ACSR for long spans and heavy wind or ice loads; AAC for short spans, substations and busbars where conductivity matters most; AAAC for medium and long spans in coastal, desert or industrial areas where a steel core would corrode. Our engineers will confirm the choice for your line.

Do you supply aerial bundled cables for low-voltage networks?

Yes, self-supporting aerial bundled cables for street networks and service connections, with optional street-lighting cores. Clamps and fittings are available from CASK Steel.

Do the conductors come with test reports?

Yes. Every lot is tested and the test reports are delivered with the order.
