Cable Lugs & Connectors
Copper and tinned copper, bimetal Cu-Al and aluminium cable lugs, connectors, terminals and ferrules from 0.5 to 1000 mm², made to DIN standards and tested to IEC 61238-1.
The right termination for every cable
From control wiring in a panel to 1000 mm² power cables on a transformer, the CASK Steel range covers copper and aluminium conductors with one part-number logic: the product, the cable section, the stud size and the finish. The lugs are part of our earthing and lightning protection programme.
The range
Copper tubular and compression lugs
Seamless electrolytic copper tube, electro-tinned or bright, including DIN 46235 compression lugs to 1000 mm² and two-hole lugs.
Butt connectors and ring terminals
Copper butt connectors to DIN 46267-1 for non-tension joints, and bare tinned ring terminals to DIN 46234.
Insulated terminals
Ring, fork, pin and female disconnect terminals in tinned copper with colour-coded sleeves for control wiring.
Cord-end ferrules
Single and twin insulated ferrules to DIN 46228-4 for flexible conductors in terminal blocks, breakers and panels.
Bimetal Cu-Al
Aluminium barrel friction welded to a copper palm: aluminium cable onto copper busbars and terminals without galvanic corrosion.
Aluminium lugs and connectors
Aluminium compression lugs to DIN 46329 and butt connectors to DIN 46267-2, pre-filled with contact grease and sealed.
Materials and standards
- Copper: Cu-ETP copper tube to EN 13600, at least 99.9% copper
- Tinned copper: electro-tinned to EN ISO 2093 for damp, coastal and aggressive sites
- Aluminium: EN AW-1050A, pre-filled with oxide-inhibiting grease
- Crimping: hexagonal dies to DIN 48083, die code stamped on the lug
- Conductors: class 1, 2 and 5 to IEC 60228

Frequently asked questions
Which lug do I use for aluminium cable on a copper terminal?
A bimetal Cu-Al lug: the aluminium barrel takes the cable and the copper palm sits on the copper busbar or terminal, without galvanic corrosion.
Tinned or bright copper?
Tinned copper is standard for damp, coastal and aggressive sites, tinned busbars and long storage. Bright copper is available on order.
Is the catalogue available in Arabic?
Yes. Download the English or Arabic catalogue at the top of this page.
