Solar Mounting Structures

Ground, tracker, carport, roof and facade systems in steel and aluminium, designed and manufactured by CASK STEEL. Profiles, brackets, clamps and complete systems are made to the size, load and finish of each project, with drawings, calculations and a full technical file.

One supplier for every type of solar site

Every project receives its own structural calculation to Eurocode, its own drawings and a technical file. We do not sell a one-size structure and hope it fits the site. Profiles are roll-formed, punched and cut in our own production, so lead times, tolerances and traceability stay under our control.

Solar panels on a CASK STEEL ground-mount structure

The solar range

Double-post fixed-tilt ground-mount solar table

Ground-mount systems

Fixed-tilt tables for small fields up to utility-scale plants: double-post tables with two or three modules in portrait or four in landscape, and single-post tables that need half the piles on uneven ground. Foundations are chosen per site: driven posts, ground screws, concrete footings or ballast blocks.

Single-axis solar tracker row

Solar trackers

Single-axis trackers follow the sun from east to west and raise the energy yield of a ground plant compared with fixed tilt. One or two modules in portrait, rotation up to ±55°, with backtracking and a wind stow position. Torque tubes, bearings and clamps are made by CASK Steel.

T-type solar carport over a double row of parking spaces

Solar carports

Shade for cars, power for the building and charging points for electric vehicles in one structure. T-type double-row, cantilever single-row and multi-column carports, with a watertight option and brackets for EV chargers, LED lighting and cable trays.

Ballasted solar structure on a flat roof

Flat roof systems

Ballasted south-facing and east-west structures: no drilling, so the roof membrane stays intact. The added roof load is set by a ballast plan and checked against the capacity of the roof.

Solar modules on mini rails on a trapezoidal metal roof

Metal, standing-seam and tiled roofs

Mini rails fixed to trapezoidal sheets, seam clamps that grip standing seams without any penetration, and stainless roof hooks with aluminium rails for tiled roofs. Light structures that protect the roof and are fast to install.

Tilted solar arrays on a building wall, shading the windows below

Wall and facade systems

Wall-mounted tilted arrays that produce energy all year and shade the windows below, and vertical rail systems that hold the modules flush to the facade with a ventilated air gap.

High agrivoltaic solar structure over crop rows

Agrivoltaic structures

High structures with 3.5 to 5 m clear height, so farm machinery passes below. The land produces food and energy at the same time, and partial shade protects crops from heat and saves irrigation water.

Floating solar array frames on water

Floating and pole mounts

Steel frames that carry the modules on float platforms on reservoirs, lakes and ponds, and pole mounts for one to four modules for solar street lights, cameras, telecom, signs and small off-grid systems.

Every structure is made to the project: the size, the load, the finish and the quality tier, with structural profiles, clamps, fixings and accessories that each carry their own CASK part number.

Three quality tiers: ECO, PRO and MAX

The geometry stays the same; the steel grade, the coating and the fasteners change with the site, the corrosion category and the design life the project needs.

CASK ECO

For light commercial roofs and dry inland sites. Pre-galvanised and hot-dip galvanised steel, corrosion categories C2 to C3, indicative life 15 to 25 years.

CASK PRO

For utility and commercial ground mounts, carports and trackers. Zinc-aluminium-magnesium (ZM) coated profiles and stainless fasteners, C3 to C4, indicative life 25 to 30 years.

CASK MAX

For coastal, desert and high-wind sites with a long design life. High-strength ZM steel, aluminium rails and A4 stainless fasteners, C4 to C5, indicative life 30 to 40 years.

Single-post fixed-tilt solar structure

From design to site

  • Site and load data: location, module type, layout and soil or roof data; we set the wind, snow and seismic loads for the site
  • Design and calculation: structural calculation to the Eurocodes, pile or ballast design and layout drawings
  • Approval: drawings, the bill of materials with CASK part numbers and the quality tier are approved by the client
  • Manufacturing: roll-forming, punching, cutting and coating in our production, with batch traceability
  • Delivery and support: packed per row or per roof, with the installation manual, tightening torques and site support

What we need for a quotation

  • Project location
  • Type of site: ground, roof, carport, facade or special
  • Module type and size
  • Layout or number of modules
  • Soil data or roof type
  • Quality tier or corrosion category
  • Quantity and delivery place
